LPGA Class A Professional. Former European, Asian Tour, Players West Tour and Futures Tour member. Kathy is born and raised in Quesnel, BC and enjoyed a successful college (SFU ’83) and semi-Pro (Australia) career with Basketball. Her first introduction to golf was a highlight and within 3 years Kathy quickly lowered her handicap winning amateur tournaments in Tucson, Phoenix and runner up at the BC Women’s Amateur. Turning professional in 1988, playing for 5 years on tours, and participating in LPGA Qualifying school. Kathy found her passion in teaching golf, starting with Excellar Golf Schools in Phoenix in 1992 and joining the LPGA T&CP membership. Kathy has taught extensively throughout the United States and Canada at private and public golf courses, receiving numerous awards for her work. The LPGA has recognized this, and Kathy has been a National Educator for over 13 years with their global education program of teaching the teachers.

Awards & Recognition:

  • In 2002, 2003, 2004 & 2005 Golf For Women magazine listed Kathy as one of the Top 50 Female Teachers in the United States.
  • Awarded the 2003 Western Section Teacher of the Year.
  • In 2004, 2005, 2006 & 2007 Golf Magazine listed Kathy as one of theTop 15 Instructors in Arizona.
  • At the 2005 LPGA show in Orlando Florida, Kathy presented at an Education workshop “Emotional Management for Golf, Career, and Life”.
  • In 2006 Golf Range Magazine listed Kathy as one of the Top 50 U.S. Golf Instructors in America.
  • The LPGA listed Kathy as one of the Top 50 Best Teachers, as voted by her peers for the 2008/2009 season,
  • In 2010 Golf Digest magazine listed Kathy as one of America’s 50 Best Women Teachers, presenting an inaugural ranking of female golf instructors as voted by their peers.
  • US Kids Top 50 Instructor 2011 and Top 50 Honorable Mention for 2012, 2014 & 2015.
  • In 2014, the LPGA awarded Kathy the Western Section Junior Golf Leadership Award
  • Present BC Provincial Golf Coach – Coached Junior Girls at Canadian Nationals; Americas Junior  Girls Championship; BC Junior Girls Amateur; High performance Coach at golf camp for girls and boys
